Kudos to Hamish and the construction teams who have been hard at work ensuring that the trail design and earthworks are completed for the opening of the Flaxbourne Section on Friday 11 April at Ward.
We're delighted to be supporting the Flaxbourne Heritage Centre and the Ward community as they mark the opening of their much-awaited centre. Our part in the celebration is to mark the two community assets in the area, and (as we wait on a couple of key structures to be put in place over the coming months) open our new Flaxbourne shelter and a stunning section of the trail (approx. 10km round trip) from Ward to Te Ruakanakana | Lake Elterwater. This is a great ride with a stunning view of the lake that few people will have seen before.
